"Quantarctica" på isen / "Quantarctica" on ice

"Quantarctica" er en antarktisk datapakke som kan brukes sammen med en gratis GIS-programvare kalt Q-GIS. Datapakken inneholder en rekke geografiske, glasiologiske og geofysiske data, samt mange satelittbilder. Datatilfanget er økende. 

Det er også mulig å plotte GPS-posisjoner sammen med disse dataene/satelittbildene, noe som er veldig nyttig under feltarbeid.

(EN) ”Quantarctica” is an antarctic data package that works with the free GIS software Q-GIS. It includes a range of geographical, glaciological, and geophysical data as well as many satellite images. The data coverage is increasing. 

It is also possible to plot GPS-provided positions together with these data/images, which is very useful during field campaigns.
