(EN) Antarctic Christmas holidays are short. Most of the logistics for our journey onto the ice shelf were already prepared by the station personnel before we came to Troll. It takes us nevertheless a couple of busy days to finalize the packing, check our equipment and make sure that everything will fit our needs. Everybody is extremely focused and good teamwork is necessary during this crucial preparation phase. Once we are out on the ice, it will be too late for complaints additional requests.
(NO) Antarktisk juleferie er kortvarig. Alt det praktiske for turen til isbremmen var allerede forberedt av stasjonspersonalet før vi kom til Troll. Likevel har vi det travelt i disse dagene med å få de siste tingene på plass og sjekke at alt funker som det skal. Alle er veldig konsentrert og god samarbeid er ekstremt viktig i denne forberedelsesfasen. Når vi først er ute på isen er det for sent til å spørre om hjelp.
