(ENG) ”Ice rise D” is about 30 km by 30 km, but we have traveled more than 1500 km on this small island. We conducted kinematic GPS measurements to find out the surface topography of the ice rise (map development), install about 100 of markers and precisely measure their positions (and we will measure their positions next year again so that we can calculate the velocity of the ice), and conduct radar surveys. The image is a map of the ice rise; red is our track, green shows the area where we should pay extra attention to crevasses. The summit and our base camp are also shown.
